The Jelli music app puts users in control of what songs are on the air, enabling users to ‘rocket’ songs to the top of the charts or ‘bomb’ them off. Jelli promotes these community features using push notifications to enhance social sharing and rating functions. Listeners develop a stronger connection with the app through the push notifications they receive as their songs grow in popularity and finally make it on the air. These real-time alerts drove a 10% increase in overall sessions and a 30% increase in usage of community features.
