This update makes it easier to uncover deeper insights and optimize campaigns for maximum engagement.
  • Web URL Trigger for Scenes enables you to launch context-aware web experiences without code by targeting users based on URL conditions such as domain, path, query parameter, or hash. This makes it easy for marketers to deliver personalized, real-time messages on specific pages, improving conversions and reducing reliance on development resources.

You can now set heading levels (H1–H6) for text elements and associate labels with input fields, ensuring screen readers clearly describe content and guide users through forms.

🧠 Pro Tip of the Month: Star your most-used pages using the new Favorites feature for instant access—and pair with the global search bar to jump directly into any composer, setting, or report in seconds.

Additional Features in Flight this Month:

  • Scenes Media Support now offers clear recommendations for using images and video in Scene backgrounds, media elements, and lists. With optimized file size limits (≤2MB) and ideal dimensions for full-screen and modal views, marketers can ensure consistent, high-quality visuals across iOS and Android devices—whether using JPEGs, GIFs, MP4s, Vimeo, or YouTube.
  • Phase 2 of Proofing & Testing: Preview Data Sidebar is now live! This update streamlines the message QA process by letting marketers preview personalized messages using real audience data—no need to maintain separate Preview Groups. The new sidebar supports random contact previews, channel search, inline JSON editing, and still retains legacy group functionality. It’s a faster, more flexible way to test personalization and catch issues before launch.
  • Enhanced Dashboard Navigation brings a modernized UI with a collapsible sidebar, global search, quick-create tools, and customizable favorites which helps to streamlining workflows, reducing clicks, and making it faster to launch, navigate, and manage your campaigns across Airship.
  • SMS Collection and Registration in Scenes lets you embed an SMS opt‑in form directly into your app or website via Scenes which enables you to collect phone numbers or register SMS channels out of the box.
  • Zero-Copy Data Integration allows you to use data directly from your external systems without copying or importing it. This means segmentation and personalization can be powered by real-time attributes stored in your data warehouse.
  • AI-Generated Scenes lets you speed up scene creation by turning simple prompts or design mockups into fully built screens in Airship.

🚀Cleared for Launch: Branching in Scenes

Your flight path to personalized, multi-screen experiences just got an upgrade.

Branching in Scenes has officially taken off — giving you dynamic, behavior-based flows that adapt in real time. Brands can now visually map conditional paths using if/then/else logic to guide users through personalized, multi-screen in-app experiences.

💡 What it is: A visual, behavior-driven decision tree that lets you map if/then/else logic within your Scenes—enabling users to follow personalized in-app journeys.

✨ Why it matters: This boosts interactivity, slashes drop-off rates, and enhances data collection by delivering targeted content and follow-up questions—ultimately driving stronger campaign ROI.

🧠 Pro Tip of the Month: Want to personalize faster? Use Branching to create a single Scene that adapts based on user behavior — like skipping opt-in prompts for already-subscribed users or showing different follow-ups based on responses. It’s a smart way to reduce friction and boost relevance, without building multiple versions from scratch.

Additional Features in Flight this Month:

  • Feature Flag Reference Images let you attach screenshots or mockups to feature flags—providing instant visual context, reducing ambiguity, and speeding up flag management.
  • Generative AI Content by Google Gemini is now built into Airship AXP Enterprise, enabling in-app message drafting directly—no third-party account required—with options to customize tone, length, sentiment, language, brand, and emoji.
  • JSON Attributes are customizable data objects assigned to users—made up of structured key-value pairs—that enable rich segmentation and personalized messaging based on detailed, schema-defined user data like preferences or travel bookings.
  • Design settings are consolidated by relocating hidden left-side menu options—like dismiss button, shade, and story mode settings—to the right-hand panel, improving UX consistency and making key design and behavior controls more accessible and extensible.

Journeys now support linking Sequences to downstream Web Scenes, expanding use cases like guiding users from a message series to a website-hosted survey.

🚀 Cleared for Launch: Brand Guidelines

The runway is clear for our biggest launch this month.

Brand Guidelines have officially taken off — giving you full control over how your brand shows up across in-app messages, automations, and AI-generated content. With reusable, centralized settings, you’ll save time and stay consistent at scale.

💡 What it is: A centralized brand system that lets you define your brand’s profile, tone, fonts, colors, and content styles for consistent use across messages and AI-powered Journeys.

✨  Why it matters: Maintain brand integrity across every experience while empowering teams to move faster — no need to set styles from scratch. Your defined guidelines also power more on-brand content from Generative AI.

🧠 Pro Tip of the Month: Define multiple brand personalities to match your tone across different campaigns — like “excited” for new product drops or “sincere” for service messages. Then let AI-generated Journeys tailor messages to match. On-brand, every time.

Additional Features in Flight this Month:

  • Content Stacking in Scenes now lets you layer elements within a Scene’s container (stacked front-to-back), and offers enhanced border controls and streamlined project settings to help reduce configuration errors.
  • Performance Analytics Labs Dashboard  introduces early-access reporting tools—including contact-level trends (known vs. anonymous), NPS survey insights, app and web session trends, and retention data—to preview and provide feedback on upcoming analytics enhancements.
  • Feature Flag Audience Targeting lets you coordinate experiences across multiple feature flags—enabling phased rollouts, layered or mutually exclusive A/B tests, and hierarchical “sub-feature” gating based on primary flags. It helps ensure users in one experiment are properly segmented and that sub-features are released only to audiences already granted the main feature.
  • Labs in Performance Analytics gives you early access to experimental dashboards and reports Airship is evaluating. You can explore contact-level insights and new metrics, and provide direct feedback—just note these features are in beta and subject to change.
  • Send a Test is the first release in Airship’s new Proofing & Testing experience, making it easier to preview and share personalized messages with stakeholders—without needing a Test Group. Marketers can now send test emails to any address, customize personalization using JSON, and control localization settings for more accurate reviews.
  • Channel Registration for SMS & Email now supports streamlined setup via API, allowing you to create or update channels with personalization-ready attributes, tags, and opt-in metadata. For SMS, you can register users with or without immediate opt-in, while email channels support both commercial and transactional preferences—ensuring proper compliance and targeting across message types.
  • Disabling Click Tracking for Specific Links in Emails lets you exclude certain links from being tracked—even when click tracking is enabled for the message.

🚀 Cleared for Launch: Custom Views for Scenes

Eliminate development roadblocks—bring your app or website content directly into Airship Scenes with fully native, reusable views.

Custom Views for Scenes empowers marketers to repurpose existing app or web experiences—like shopping carts, maps, ads, or widgets—directly into Airship Scenes or Embedded Content.

💡 What it is: A feature enabling the embedding of existing native or web content—registered in your app via the Airship SDK—into Scene screens using key-value parameters for customization.

✨ Why it matters: It saves time, reduces dev dependencies, and enables scalable personalization using live, high-performing content your team has already built.

đź”— Get the details: Watch our recent  Levelup on Custom Views for a quick 30-minute session packed with a demo, use case inspiration, and live Q&A with our product pros.
