# Saving blocks and layouts in the WYSIWYG editor

Save blocks and layouts for reuse in your messages, templates, and preference center web pages.

## Saving blocks

Saved blocks are an easy way to create footer or nav bars for emails that you can reuse across templates. You can include a [Snippet](https://www.airship.com/docs/reference/glossary/#snippet) for information like the copyright date. Update the snippet once a year, and that change will be applied to anywhere the snippet is in use. You can save up to 50 blocks.

In the WYSIWYG editor:

1. Open an existing or blank layout, then edit.
1. Select the row you want to save for reuse, then click the Save icon.
