Jul 8, 2026Scene Action for Push Notifications
Open a Scene when a user taps a push notification to extend short messages into branded in-app experiences, with both dashboard and API support.
Scenes deliver native in-app content with capabilities like surveys, channel registration, and video, all designed in the dashboard. You can use the Scene action for scenarios like these:
- Promotional showcases — Send a push that opens extended campaign content, like product details, special offers, or feature highlights.
- Post-purchase surveys — Follow up a purchase with a push that opens a survey for immediate feedback.
- Event reminders — Send a pre-event reminder push that opens event details, agenda, or QR codes.
In the dashboard, select the Scene action when configuring push notification content and choose a template. Build the template ahead of time or create one as you compose your message.
This release also introduces API support for Scenes. From the API, reference a Scene template by its template_id in the push notification’s open action.
