Custom content layouts
Create, manage, and reuse content layouts for Scenes.
Save Scene content as a custom layout and reuse it as a starting point for new Scenes. Create a layout from scratch or save the content of any existing Scene. Each project supports up to 250 layouts. Layout names do not have to be unique, so make sure to add a description.
Create a layout
Create new layouts from your project dashboard:
- Go to Content and select Scene Layouts.
- Select Create layout.
- Enter a name and description.
- Select Save.
- Configure Scene behaviors, the root appearance, and individual screens.
- Select Save layout.
Save existing content as a layout
You can save any Scene’s content as a layout, including Scenes built from a default layout that you then customized.
While editing the content of a Scene:
- Select Save as layout.
- Enter a name and description.
- Select Save.
Now you can complete content configuration and send. If you do not need to send the current Scene, select the down arrow icon () next to Exit, then select Delete.
Managing layouts
Go to Content and select Scene Layouts to view the list of custom layouts in your project. You can search by name, description, or keyword.
You can manage layouts from two locations:
More menu — Select the more menu icon () for a layout for the options to edit, duplicate, add to a CampaignA container for organizing and coordinating related messages across channels. They provide message list and calendar views to monitor status, spot scheduling gaps, and avoid overlap., or delete.
Drawer — Select View detail from the more menu, or select the layout name, to open a drawer with the same edit and duplicate options as in the more menu, plus the ability to change its name, description, and keywords, and manage its associated Campaigns.
Duplicating makes a copy of the layout in the current project or in a different project. You can only duplicate to projects that are configured for the App channel.
When duplicating content to a different project, Airship does not copy segments, attributes, custom events, deep links, subscription lists, Preference Centers, brand guidelines, or Scene settings from the source project. Configure them independently in each project.
To manage keywords for multiple layouts at once, select them in the list, then select Actions, and then Manage keywords.
